10 things you want to know about me!

Hi! I’m Brenna Marie Dineen Hill, aka PhotograBHill! Here are 10 things you may possibly want to know about me.

  1. I’m a math teacher by day, which means you’re probably making one of these faces right now: 😳😖😭 and asking “Whhhhyyyyy?” Truth be told.... I love problem solving and high school kids. It was a perfect fit!

  2. My husband and I met in Popeye’s (yes, the Sailor-man) hometown of Chester, IL 15 years ago. We got married on Pi Day (no, not TOTALLY on purpose). We went to Istanbul, Turkey for our honeymoon. And we work at the same high school. We all know who’s the cool one.

  3. I’m not such a great housewife. But I’m gonna work on it!

  4. I love Law and Order Crime Shows. I can pick the culprit 9 times out of 10 within the first 5 minutes.

  5. I love dance. I danced my “whole” life, through college and got to coach the dance team at school where I teach for 6 seasons. Ballet was my favorite. It’s technical and logical. But the beautiful, artistic component is what makes it magical. That’s why I like math. It’s also beautiful (even though you may not agree) and logical. So is photography. It is full of precise calculations, but also full of artistic interpretation. Since I don’t dance as much now, photography has filled the hole where ballet used to live.

  6. I can’t remember how old I am. Like ever. But what does it matter after 30 anyway?!

  7. Today, I’m going to hit Rachel Hollis’ 5 to Thrive advice. These are the 5 things she swears by to improve EVERYONE’s life. She goes into more detail in her podcast from January of this year.

  • Drink half your weight in ounces of water. —This is going to be the hardest one because I really really really do not like water.

  • Wake up an hour earlier than you have to each day for some self-care time.— OK this one is going to be really hard too because I really really really love sleep.

  • Move 30 minutes each day. —I can do this. Just need to start

  • Give up one food category that you know you shouldn’t be eating for 30 days.—Bread. Breading. Breaded. Bye Chic Fil A nuggets. I love you.

  • Write down 10 things that you are grateful for that happen each day.—Yes. Something "easy"!!

8.  My grandfather “invented” the reclining dental chair as we know it today. At least this is how the story goes: When he was in the AirForce, he used a reclining pilot’s chair instead of the one where people just had to put their head back, because uncomfortable!!

9. Starbucks order is a Venti Iced Blonde Americano with Heavy Whipping Cream. (Trying to do that Keto Life!)

10. Life goal of going skydiving. It’s legit cr.A.zy. I hate heights. And jumping out of a plane?! That is insane. But I have this underlying feeling that soaring through the open sky with just me and God (and the guy I’m strapped to) is exactly what I need in my life. I totally killed it at iFly indoor skydiving, so I think it’s totally doable!
